Amelia (2009)

Amelia

Everyone has oceans to fly. As long as you have the heart to do it. Is it reckless? Maybe. But what do dreams know of boundaries? – Amelia

This heartwarming film makes us fly and land in the heart of Amelia. A woman who notwithstanding the obstacles of flying pursued her dream until her last breath.

Amelia showcases good performances of Swank and Gere. With a supporting role from McGregor. If one does not know the story of Amelia Earhart, the anticipation of wanting to know whether she would reach her final destination will keep one on their seats. Nevertheless, if on the other hand, one has already known the story of her life, one would still be intrigued of how the film would handle the tragic ending of her life.

The film have good aerial shots that would make us imagine how it could have been to fly with Amelia and her plane Electra. A non-flashy flying as compared to other action films where superb flying skills are a must. Amelia is flying and walking on the clouds. It is a cruise where the world’s expectations are only imaginations and that the reality of the now is to take the most relaxing and carefree flight of your lifetime.
